Hello, 1970s Newark! Now & Then Gallery Exhibition Opens This Saturday, Oct 22

Join us as we explore the photographic work of Tim Black, who in 1976, armed with his Minolta SR-T 101 camera, walked the streets of downtown Newark capturing moments in time. Nearly 45 years later and driven by nostalgia and a love of photography, Tim revisited our beloved downtown and again captured the iconic structures, character and charm of Newark.

View this unique exhibition that showcases side-by-side images of 1976 alongside photographs of today. Experience the beautiful contrast and change of downtown Newark and iconic destinations like The Midland Theatre, Natoma, HL Art Jewelers, Cornell, Arcade Drug, Cine’ One, Castile Room and more.

Gallery Opening: Sat, Oct 22, Noon-3 PM

Sponsored by The Energy Cooperative and Explore Licking County.
The 2022 sponsor of the Marcia W. Downes Art Gallery is Denison University.
