Costumes Encouraged this Saturday + Pumpkin Science
Families can celebrate the season by with pumpkin science activities, building a mini pumpkin catapult, decorating a pumpkin, and taking home a kit to make your own slime!

- Pumpkin Science at 10 am & 2 pm (make pumpkin slime!)
- Pumpkin Chunkin' (build & launch a mini pumpkin catapult)
- Pumpkin art
- Take home a spooky STEM kit with glow-in-the-dark slime
- Shop glass pumpkins in the Gear Shop
- Check out a SciDome Show between 10:30 am & 2:30 pm
- Watch a glassblowing demonstration at 11:30 am & 1 pm

Tomorrow, October 29 is all about fire fighters! Kids will have the opportunity to pull out the fire hose and learn the tools of the trade for one of our neighborhood fire department. A special visitor will stop by with a real fire truck!

Behind the Science of the Hubble Space Telescope
Hear from dynamic speakers about current science topics in a way that is both educational and entertaining. Presentations run from 6 to 7 PM in the SciDome. Guests can enjoy light refreshments beforehand by arriving at 5:30 PM.

Girls STEAM Ahead - New Episodes released Wednesdays
GSA is all about connecting and supporting generations of women in STEAM fields. Hear from professional engineers, artists, scientists, and more as Girls STEAM Ahead returns for its second year!
Wednesdays | Starting Oct 6 | 11:30 AM | Youth Grades 6-12
In this all new season of Girls STEAM Ahead, women from all stages in their career journey will share their stories, discuss what success means to them, and how they were inspired along the way. New episodes will air on Wednesdays, through November 10, 2021. This online series is open to all viewers, but designed with middle and high school youth in mind.

The Works Current Hours
The Works is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM.
We are currently only accepting walk in visitors, reservations are not required. SciDome shows happen daily at 10:30 AM & 1:30 PM; Glassblowing demonstrations can be seen at 11:30 AM & 2 PM, Wed.- Sat.

Masks are required for guests 2 and up. Guests are asked to use social distancing.
For members and general visitors to the museum, vaccination is preferred, but not required. The Works will continue to follow the most up-to-date CDC recommendations and best practices for museums.
