In the Marcia W. Downes Art Gallery: Celebrating Watermedia
The Southeastern Ohio Watermedia Society, also known as SEOWS, is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 exists to further the public interest in water-based artistic media. In addition to the wonderful transparency of watercolors, the artists do collage and enthusiastically paint in acrylics, inks and temperas.

Behind the Science... for Adults who are into Lifelong Learning!
Hear from dynamic speakers about current science topics in a way that is both educational and entertaining. Presentations run from 6 to 7 PM in the SciDome. Guests can connect over light refreshments beforehand by arriving at 5:30 PM.

Glass Fusing is BACK!
Create your own decorative fused-glass art with pieces of colorful glass. Your creation will be placed in the super heated kiln where it melts together. Drop in the third Saturday of the month, from Noon- 4 PM.

GSA is all about connecting and supporting generations of women in STEAM fields. Hear from professional engineers, artists, scientists, and more as Girls STEAM Ahead returns for its second year!
Wednesdays | Starting Oct 6 | 11:30 AM | Youth Grades 6-12
In this all new season of Girls STEAM Ahead women from all stages in their career journey will share their stories, discuss what success means to them, and how they were inspired along the way. New episodes will air on Wednesdays, October 6 – November 10, 2021. This online series is open to all viewers, but designed with middle and high school youth in mind.

The Works Current Hours
The Works is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM. We currently accept walk-in visitors. SciDome shows happen daily at 10:30 AM & 1:30 PM; Glassblowing demonstrations can be seen at 11:30 AM & 2 PM, Wed.- Sat.
Visit Safely
Masks are required for guests 2 and up. Guests are asked to use social distancing.
For members and general visitors to the museum, vaccination is preferred, but not required. The Works will continue to follow the most up-to-date CDC recommendations and best practices for museums.
